We collect the minimum needed to run a leaderboard and take a payment. There are no accounts and no advertising trackers.
What we store
- Your listing: the URL or @handle, its name, description, category, and the logo you upload. All of this is public by design.
- Your payments: the amount, the time, and the reference id from our payment provider. This is what the ranking is calculated from.
- Counts: how many times a listing has been clicked from the board.
What we never see
Card numbers, bank details and billing addresses. Checkout happens on Dodo Payments's own pages; we only ever receive a payment reference and the amount.
Who else processes data
- Dodo Payments — our Merchant of Record. They collect the billing details needed to take payment and issue an invoice, under their own privacy policy.
- Supabase — hosts the database that stores listings and payment records.
- Vercel — hosts the site and keeps short-lived request logs, which include IP addresses.
- Google's favicon service — when a listing has no uploaded logo, the browser loads its icon from Google. That request comes from the visitor's browser.
Cookies and analytics
We set no advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Clicking through to a listing sends you via a counting redirect that adds one to that listing's click total and appends utm_source=bidwar so the site owner can see where the visit came from.
How long we keep it
Listings and payment records are kept for as long as the board exists — a leaderboard whose history disappears is not a leaderboard. Payment records also have to be retained for accounting and tax purposes.
Removing a listing
Ask through support.bidwar@gmail.com and we will take a listing down. Payments already made are not refunded (see Terms), and the payment record itself stays for accounting.
